You can replace your Medicare card by calling the Social Security Administration at 800.633.4227.
Replacing Your Medicare Card Online
To replace your Medicare ID online you’ll need to visit the Social Security website and either create a new account or sign in.
Note: If you have forgotten your username or password you can use information like your email, Social Security number, and date of birth to recover this information.
After signing in you’ll need to:
- Select the Replacement Documents tab
- Select the Mail my replacement Medicare Card option
How Long Does It Take To Receive My Medicare Card In the Mail?
It typically takes 30 days for your Medicare ID to arrive in the mail. If it takes longer than 30 days then you may need to contact Medicare to ensure your mailing address is correct. You can check your address by logging on to your account or calling Social Security at 800.633.4227.
